Conventionally grown cotton is a pesticide heavy crop, worldwide it uses approximately 25% of the world's pesticides and 10% of the world's insecticides.
Those are HUGE numbers!
Reducing them will lead to safer farming conditions, cleaner water resources, fewer people dying or getting sick from their poisonous effects, and less energy emissions just to name a few. So of course this is the right choice if we want to make a positive difference.
